Owner - Doreen Puglisi
Doreen Puglisi is founder of The Pilates Center, Ltd. She opened her first facility in 1998 and has dedicated her Fairfield facility (2002) to quality Pilates instruction as well as design and implementation of specialty programs for clients with specific medical limitations. She is also a full-time faculty member in the Health & Exercise Science Department at County College of Morris, Randolph, NJ.
Prior to opening her facilities, Doreen spent 15 years as a sole proprietor, training clients in-home as well as on location in medical facilities. She has been Fitness Director for several health clubs including Manhattan’s Aerobics West Health Club, World Gym and Nabisco, Inc. She has devoted the last 12 years of her expertise as a Post-Rehabilitative Exercise Specialist. Working with medical professionals, Doreen designs and implements exercise programs for patients referred with medical disabilities, limitations, and/or injuries.
In 1995, Doreen decided to continue her education pursuing her love of fitness by enrolling in a Master’s Degree program in Exercise Science. This led to her research in the area of golf-related fitness. The World Scientific Congress of Golf invited Doreen to present her findings in St. Andrews, Scotland. Follow-up research continued with the United States Golf Association. She has conducted ongoing research in golf fitness, performance enhancement, and injury prevention. Doreen has been a frequent guest speaker on Golf Radio with Peter Jacobson. The Power Golf Program has been featured in The Jersey Golfer Magazine (1997), Golf Science International (1999) and The Star Ledger (2002).
Doreen is also Founder and Program Director for The Pink Ribbon Program, a non-profit company dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle and positive body image to all breast cancer survivors.
Doreen’s credentials include: a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science, BA from Seton Hall University, Fitness Leader Certification from CCM, and a certified breast cancer post-rehabilitative exercise specialist.
Meghan Bosch
Meghan has been instructing Pilates for the last nine years. Meghan is traditionally and contemporarily certified through Body Arts and Science International in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, and Stability Chair & Barrel. Meghan graduated from Pretoria University with a degree in Physical Therapy. Her specialty includes rehabilitation and special conditioning. Meghan has worked extensively with rugby and athletic teams.
David Chieppa
David is currently a student at William Paterson University where he has completed a Fitness for Life course. David is certified through Stott Pilates. He is trained in Essential and Intermediate mat and reformer work. He is also certified in Tae Kwon Do in the World Tae Kwon Do Federation where he has coached and refereed. David has been a Stott Certified Pilates instructor for over two years and been in the fitness industry for seven years.
Natalia Gallo
Natalia comes to us by way of Russia. She graduated with a degree in Recreational Management and Cultural Education from the University of Moscow. She has been a Certified Dance Instructor for over 20-years, with a specialty in Ballroom Dancing. In 2004, she added an IMX Pilates Certification in Mat and Reformer to her list of accomplishments.
Ali Kass
Ali has been in the fitness industry and teaching Pilates for two years. Ali is certified through Pilates Academy International in Mat and Reformer and in the process of receiving her certification in Cadillac, Chair and Barrel. Ali received her Bachelor Degree in Art History and Fine Arts and minored in Psychology. Ali has interests in overall fitness and strength training.
Kim Natali
With over ten years of experience in Pilates, Kim has been certified to teach Pilates through IMX Pilates and The Kelly Kane School. She has also been trained in Stott Pilates. Besides Pilates, Kim also teaches a variety of fitness classes.
Doug Saunders
Doug has been in the Fitness industry for the last ten years and instructing Pilates for the last seven years. Doug graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a major in Communications, and a minor in Biology. He received his Mat certification from three different Pilates Schools. He has his Equipment-based certification through Stott Pilates. He is also an instructor and personal trainer from NASM, and AFAA. Doug specializes in rehab and sport specific training. Doug has attended numerous Athletic and lower back workshops.
